Cup (Albania) (Kupa e Shqipërisë) - Albania’s national domestic cup competition organised by the Albanian Football Association. Regulations: the competition includes a preliminary phase and a knockout phase, with the main bracket played through a Round of 32, Round of 16 and Round of 16-to-quarterfinal stage as single-match ties, while the quarter-finals and semi-finals are played over two legs home and away, the away-goals rule does not apply, and the final is a single match staged at a venue appointed by the association with the home team designation decided by draw. If a match is level after 90 minutes, extra time of 2 periods of 15 minutes is played and, if still level, the winner is decided by a penalty shoot-out with five kicks each followed by sudden death. The winner qualifies for UEFA club competition via Albania’s allocation, with the specific competition and entry round determined by the relevant UEFA access list for the season.
