

Cup (Algeria) (Algerian Cup, Coupe d'Algérie) - the annual national knockout cup competition in Algeria run by the Algerian Football Federation. Regulations: the tournament is open to affiliated clubs and is played as a straight knockout with regional preliminary rounds followed by a national stage, with an open draw. Each round is decided by a single match, if level after 90 minutes extra time of 30 minutes is played and, if still level, a penalty shoot-out decides the winner. The winner qualifies for the CAF Confederation Cup within Algeria’s allocation subject to CAF club licensing and typically earns a place in the Algerian Super Cup versus the league champions, if the cup winner has already qualified for continental competition via the league, the continental place passes to the next eligible club under association rules.
