Ligue 2 (Algeria) (Ligue 2, Ligue 2 Amateur) - the second tier of the Algerian league system administered by the National Amateur Football League (LNFA) under the Algerian Football Federation framework. Regulations: the competition is normally contested by 32 clubs split into two geographic groups of 16 (Centre-East and Centre-West), each group is played as a double round-robin home-and-away league using the 3-1-0 points system, and standings are determined by total points. If teams are level on points, the exact tie-break sequence is set out in the LNFA season regulations and typically starts with head-to-head performance among the tied teams before moving to overall season metrics, with drawing of lots available where the organiser’s rules require it. Promotion to Ligue 1 is awarded to the two group champions, and under the currently approved model an additional promotion place may be decided via a neutral-venue mini-tournament involving the teams finishing 2nd and 3rd in each group, with crossed semi-finals and a final, and ties in these matches decided by penalties after regular time without extra time. The teams finishing 14th to 16th in each group are relegated to the Inter-Régions level, while the number and mechanism of promotions from Inter-Régions back into Ligue 2 are set by the federation and LNFA when confirming group compositions.
