

Copa de la Liga Profesional (Argentina) (an official AFA Professional Football League competition, held from 2020 to 2024 and discontinued) - a top-level national competition within Argentina’s domestic system. Regulations: in the standard format 28 clubs took part, the first stage was played in two zones with teams playing a round-robin within their zone, with 3 points for a win, 1 for a draw and 0 for a loss. Zone standings were ordered by points, then goal difference, goals scored, then head-to-head criteria among the tied teams within the competition with the criteria reapplied to the remaining tied subset, followed by the fair play table and drawing of lots. The top teams from the zones advanced to a knockout play-off played as single-match ties. In the quarter-finals and semi-finals, if level after 90 minutes the winner was decided by a penalty shoot-out with no extra time, while the final used extra time of two 15-minute periods and then penalties if required.
