Superliga Cup (Argentina) (Copa de la Superliga) - an official Argentine league cup created for the top-division clubs under the Superliga structure and discontinued after the 2020 edition was cancelled. Regulations: it was played as a knockout competition with seeding based on league positions, the highest-placed teams receiving byes to a later round, while the remaining clubs started in the first round, and all rounds prior to the final were two-legged ties with the higher seed hosting the second leg. If level on aggregate, the away goals rule applied, and if still level the winner was decided by a penalty shoot-out, while the final was a single match at a neutral venue with extra time and penalties if required. Continental qualification places were awarded via the cup, typically with the champion taking a CONMEBOL Libertadores (Copa Libertadores) berth and the runner-up a CONMEBOL Sudamericana (Copa Sudamericana) berth, with reallocation rules applied if a club had already qualified through another pathway.
