First League (Armenia)

Armenian First League (Հայաստանի Առաջին խումբ) - the second tier of professional club football in Armenia, organized by the Football Federation of Armenia. Regulations: the competition is played as a league with 16 teams, the match calendar is approved by the federation and built using the Berger system, teams receive 3 points for a win, 1 point for a draw and 0 points for a loss, if teams are level on points the federation applies the following tie-break order: points in head-to-head matches, head-to-head goal difference, head-to-head goals scored, then total wins, total goals scored, overall goal difference, fewer red cards, fewer yellow cards, a higher fair play indicator, then a draw of lots, the champion is promoted to the Armenian Premier League subject to eligibility, with reserve teams not eligible for promotion and the promotion place passing to the next eligible club under federation rules.
