

Cup (Australia) (Australia Cup, formerly the FFA Cup) - Australia’s national knockout cup run by Football Australia in conjunction with the state and territory member federations, bringing together clubs from different levels. Regulations: the competition begins with Preliminary Rounds and then moves into the Final Rounds from the Round of 32 as a straight single-elimination bracket, all ties are one match, replays do not apply, if level after 90 minutes extra time is played as two 15-minute periods and, if still level, a penalty shoot-out decides the winner. The winners qualify to represent Australia in the AFC Champions League Two subject to AFC club licensing, and if the winners are ineligible or already hold a slot via another route, the place is reallocated under the applicable entry and allocation rules.
