Bundesliga (Austria) (Austrian Bundesliga (Österreichische Fußball-Bundesliga), introduced from the 1974/75 season) - the top professional club football division in Austria. Regulations: 12 clubs take part, the season has two stages - a regular stage played as a double round-robin (22 rounds) followed by a split into a championship group (places 1-6) and a qualification group (places 7-12), with points from the regular stage halved, any resulting half-point rounded down, and in the final stage that rounded figure is used as the first criterion if teams are level on points. Within each group teams play a double round-robin (10 more rounds), making 32 rounds in total. Teams receive 3 points for a win, 1 for a draw and 0 for a loss, if teams are level on points in the final standings the tie-breakers are applied as head-to-head record (points, head-to-head goal difference, head-to-head goals scored, with a mini-table if more than two teams are tied), then overall goal difference, overall goals scored, number of wins, number of away wins, away goals scored. The champions are the winners of the championship group, 12th place is the relegation place, while promotion from the second tier is subject to licensing and in certain scenarios is decided via a two-legged relegation play-off against the 12th-placed top-division club, UEFA club competition places are allocated via final positions and the domestic cup and may also involve an additional European play-off.
