Azerbaijan Cup (Azerbaijan) (Azərbaycan Kuboku) - Azerbaijan’s main domestic knockout cup organised by the Association of Football Federations of Azerbaijan. Regulations: the competition is played as a knockout tournament, with the participant list and total number of teams approved for each season, and in recent seasons it starts with qualifying rounds and features 34 teams from different league levels. Early rounds and the round of 16 are single-leg ties, from the quarter-finals the competition uses home-and-away ties, and the final is a single match at a designated venue. If a single-leg tie is level after 90 minutes, extra time of two 15-minute periods is played followed by a penalty shootout if required, and in two-legged ties if the aggregate score is level after the second leg, extra time and then penalties apply, with no away goals rule used in the tournament. International qualification: the winner qualifies for UEFA Europa League qualifying, typically entering in the first qualifying round, subject to eligibility and licensing.
