

Premier League (Azerbaijan) (also known as the Misli Premier League and the Azerbaijan Premier League (Azərbaycan Premyer Liqası)) - the top professional club division in Azerbaijan, run under the Professional Football League and the Association of Football Federations of Azerbaijan. Regulations: 12 clubs take part, the season usually runs from August to May, teams play each other three times, with each club playing 33 matches, with 3 points for a win, 1 for a draw and 0 for a loss. If teams are level on points, places are decided first by head-to-head criteria (head-to-head points, head-to-head goal difference, head-to-head goals scored, and for two teams only also head-to-head away goals), then by overall goal difference and goals scored. The bottom club is relegated to the First League, and the team in 11th place plays a one-off play-out at a neutral venue against the First League runners-up. The champions enter the UEFA Champions League first qualifying round, the domestic cup winners enter the UEFA Europa League first qualifying round, and the teams finishing 2nd and 3rd enter the UEFA Conference League second qualifying round, subject to club licensing.
