

Premier League (Belarus) (Vysshaya Liga) - the top professional club division in Belarus under the Belarus Football Federation. Regulations: 16 clubs typically take part, the season is usually played spring-autumn in a double round-robin format, with each team playing 30 matches home and away against every opponent, with 3 points for a win, 1 for a draw and 0 for a loss. If teams are level on points, positions are decided by head-to-head criteria first (points, goal difference, goals scored), then overall goal difference, number of wins, goals scored and finally drawing of lots, the bottom two clubs are relegated to the First League and the 14th-placed club plays a two-legged relegation play-off against the 3rd-placed First League club.
