The Belgian Pro League (Belgium) (Jupiler Pro League, founded in 1895) is the top professional club division in Belgium’s league system. Tournament regulations: 16 clubs play a double round-robin regular season (30 matches), with 3 points for a win, 1 for a draw and 0 for a loss, and the table is ordered by points, then wins, goal difference, goals scored, away goals and away wins, with a two-legged test match used if teams remain level. After the regular season, teams placed 1st-6th contest the Championship Play-off (10 matches home and away) starting with 50% of their regular-season points rounded up, with the rounding half-point deducted first when final standings are set and any remaining ties decided by the regular-season ranking, and the winner is crowned Belgian champion and takes the highest-ranked UEFA Champions League berth. Teams placed 7th-12th play the Europe Play-off under the same 10-match and 50%-points-rounding mechanism, the Belgian Cup winner retains the reserved UEFA Europa League place, and the last European berth can be decided by a single test match between an eligible club from the Championship Play-off and the Europe Play-off winner provided both hold a UEFA licence, with extra time and penalties used if level. Teams placed 13th-16th enter the relegation Play-down (6 matches home and away) carrying over their points and statistics, ties are broken by regular-season rank, and the bottom club is relegated to Division 1B if it loses a two-legged final round against the Division 1B promotion play-off winner.
