

Bolivia Cup - the national cup competition of Bolivia for professional clubs organized under the Bolivian Football Federation. Regulations: in the current format the tournament is contested by the 16 División Profesional teams and is played through a group stage and a knockout stage, the group stage draws the clubs into four groups and each team plays 14 matches - home and away versus each group opponent, two matches versus its designated derby rival placed in a different group, plus interzonal fixtures against clubs from the other groups according to a fixed pairing grid, with match points awarded on a 3-1-0 basis. If teams are level on points in the group table, the ranking criteria are applied in order as follows: goal difference, goals scored, away goals scored, disciplinary record based on yellow cards, then drawing of lots. Group winners advance directly to the quarter-finals, while the teams finishing 2nd and 3rd in each group play a two-leg play-off round for the remaining quarter-final berths, and all knockout ties are played over two legs, in the play-off round a level tie on points after both legs is decided by a penalty shoot-out, from the quarter-finals onward a level tie on points is first separated by goal difference and, if still level, decided by a penalty shoot-out. The champions are awarded a berth in the Copa Libertadores and the runners-up qualify for the Copa Sudamericana.
