Primera División (Bolivia) (División Profesional) - the top-tier professional club league in Bolivia run by the Bolivian Football Federation. Regulations: the current format has 16 clubs and is played as a double round-robin league of 30 rounds, with 15 home and 15 away matches, awarding 3 points for a win, 1 for a draw, and 0 for a loss. The champion is the team at the top of the final table, and if the top two finish level on points the title is decided by a one-off final at a neutral venue, with penalties if level after 90 minutes. If teams finish level on points elsewhere in the table, positions are separated using the tie-break criteria set out in the federation rules. At the end of the season the bottom club is relegated directly, while the 15th-placed club plays a promotion and relegation playoff against the Copa Simón Bolívar runner-up. CONMEBOL qualification is allocated through league position and the Copa Bolivia outcome, with Copa Libertadores places going to the league champion and runner-up, the Copa Bolivia winner, and the best remaining league finisher, while Copa Sudamericana places go to the next best league finishers plus the Copa Bolivia runner-up, and any duplicate entitlement is passed down the league table.
