

Serie B (Brazil) (Campeonato Brasileiro Série B) - the second tier of professional club football in Brazil, organised by the Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF). Regulations: 20 clubs take part, the season is a double round-robin, each team plays 38 matches home and away against every opponent, with 3 points for a win, 1 for a draw and 0 for a loss, and the champions are the team with the most points. If teams are level on points, positions are decided by number of wins, goal difference, goals scored, head-to-head results only when two teams are tied, then fewest red cards, fewest yellow cards and drawing of lots.
