The Brazilian Super Cup (Supercopa Rei, formerly Supercopa do Brasil) is an official one-off trophy match organised under the Brazilian Football Confederation, contested by the Campeonato Brasileiro Série A champions and the Copa do Brasil holders from the previous season. Regulations: it is a single match played over 90 minutes, and if level there is no extra time, the winner is decided by a penalty shoot-out. If the same club wins both the league and the cup, the opponent is the Série A runners-up, while the date and venue are set by the organiser.
