Primera Division (Chile) (Liga de Primera, Campeonato Nacional) - Chile’s top-tier professional men’s club league organised by the National Association of Professional Football (ANFP). Regulations: the league is played as a double round-robin with 16 teams and 30 matchdays, three points are awarded for a win, one for a draw and none for a loss, and teams level on points are ranked by goal difference, wins, goals scored, away goals scored, fewer red cards, fewer yellow cards, then lots. The champion is the club with the most points after 30 matchdays, and if the top place is level on points the title is decided in a single additional match, with penalties used if still level. The bottom two clubs are relegated to the lower division, and Chile’s CONMEBOL club competition berths are allocated via the final league table and the Copa Chile winner, with reallocation applied when slots overlap under the season rules.
