Croatian First Football League (Prva nogometna liga, 1. NL, also marketed as SuperSport Prva NL) - Croatia’s second-tier professional division run under the Croatian Football Federation. Regulations: the league is played as a single-table competition with 12 clubs and a triple round-robin season of 33 rounds, awarding 3 points for a win, 1 for a draw and 0 for a loss. If teams are level on points, positions are decided by overall goal difference, then goals scored, and if the tie still affects the title, promotion or relegation after the season ends, an additional head-to-head table from the first stage of the season is used for the tied clubs, with any remaining tie resolved by overall goal difference across all matches, then fair play and, if required, drawing of lots. The champions earn promotion to the HNL subject to obtaining the required licence, and if the champions are not licensed the place passes to the next highest-placed licensed club. Relegation and league composition are set by the league system and seasonal licensing, and at minimum the bottom club is relegated to the Druga NL. The division does not allocate direct UEFA competition berths.
