HNL (Croatia) (Croatian Football League, sponsored as SuperSport HNL) - the top professional club football division in Croatia, run under the Croatian Football Federation. Regulations: 10 clubs take part, the league is played over 36 rounds in a quadruple round-robin, with each team playing every opponent four times (two home and two away), with 3 points for a win, 1 for a draw and 0 for a loss. The standings are decided by points, then overall goal difference and goals scored, and if teams remain level on those criteria they share the relevant positions, however if level points affect the title, UEFA qualification or relegation, a head-to-head auxiliary table among the tied teams is applied after the league season using head-to-head points and head-to-head goal difference, and if still not decided the overall goal difference across the season is used. At the end of the season the bottom club is relegated to the Prva NL, the Prva NL champions are promoted subject to licensing, if the champions are not admitted the promotion place passes down the Prva NL table to the next eligible licensed club, and UEFA places are allocated via the final league table subject to club licensing requirements.
