Cypriot First Division (Cyprus League by Stoiximan) - the top tier of club football in Cyprus organised by the Cyprus Football Association. Regulations: the league has 14 teams and starts with a double round-robin regular season of 26 matches per club, after which it splits into two groups, places 1-6 enter the Championship Playoffs and play each other home and away for 10 more matches, while places 7-14 enter the Relegation round and play a single round within the group for 7 more matches, with points and all criteria carried over. If teams are level on points, the classification sequence applies: points, then head-to-head points, head-to-head goal difference and head-to-head goals scored, with head-to-head away goals used only when two teams are tied, then overall goal difference and overall goals scored, and a play-off match may be ordered when the title or relegation must be decided. The champions are the team ranked first in the Championship Playoffs, the bottom three teams in the Relegation round are relegated to the Cypriot Second Division, and UEFA qualification is allocated according to Cyprus’ UEFA slots and the season regulations.
