Superliga (Denmark) (Danish Superliga (Superligaen), known for sponsorship as 3F Superliga since 2019) - the top professional club division in Denmark. Regulations: 12 clubs take part, the season has two phases - in the first phase teams play a double round-robin (22 rounds), then the table splits into two groups with all points and goal records carried over, teams in places 1-6 play the championship group and teams in places 7-12 play the qualification group, within each group teams play a further 10 matches home and away, making 32 matches in total. Three points are awarded for a win, one for a draw and none for a loss, if teams are level on points the ranking is decided by goal difference and then goals scored, then by head-to-head criteria (points, head-to-head goal difference, head-to-head goals scored, away goals in head-to-head), if clubs are still level a neutral play-off match may be arranged for decisive places, otherwise lots are drawn. At the end of the qualification group the bottom two clubs (11th and 12th) are relegated to the Danish 1st Division and are replaced by the top two teams from the 1st Division. UEFA qualification is allocated via the final league table and the Danish Cup winner under the UEFA access list, and an additional European place may be decided in a single match between the qualification group winner and the highest-placed championship group team that has not already qualified directly.
