Ecuador Supercup (Supercopa Ecuador) - Ecuador’s official domestic super cup match organised by the Ecuadorian Football Federation. Regulations: it is played between the reigning Ecuadorian Serie A champion and the Copa Ecuador holder from the previous season, with the date and venue set by the federation, and the title decided in a single match at a neutral stadium. If the score is level after 90 minutes, the winner is decided by a penalty shoot-out with no extra time, and the winner lifts the trophy, while in some seasons the competition may not be staged by organiser decision.
