Super Cup (Egypt) (Egyptian Super Cup, founded in 2001) is an annual competition organised by the Egyptian Football Association, played either as a single match or as a short final tournament between clubs that achieved key domestic results in the previous season. Regulations: in the current expanded model the competition typically features four teams - the Egyptian Premier League champions, the Egypt Cup holders, the League Cup winners and an additional entrant selected by the organisers (for example via a “golden card” invitation or by league placing if winners overlap), followed by semi-finals, a third-place match and a final, with extra time and, if required, a penalty shoot-out used to decide knockout matches level after 90 minutes.
