League Two (England) (EFL League Two) - the fourth tier of professional club football in the league system of England and Wales under the English Football League. Regulations: 24 clubs take part in a double round-robin season, each team plays 46 matches - home and away against every other side, with 3 points for a win, 1 for a draw and 0 for a loss. League positions are determined by points, then goal difference and goals scored, then by head-to-head records between the tied clubs (points, goal difference, goals scored), followed by number of wins, away goals scored, disciplinary penalty points and other EFL criteria, and if clubs remain level the EFL can order a deciding match for specific positions. At the end of the season the top three clubs are promoted automatically to League One, teams finishing 4th-7th contest the fourth promotion place via play-offs with two-legged semi-finals and a one-off final at a neutral venue, and the bottom two clubs are relegated to the National League, noting that promotion from the National League into the EFL is conditional on meeting EFL membership and admission criteria and confirmation by the League, otherwise the number of relegation places from League Two may be reduced by decision of the EFL.
