Finnish Cup (Suomen Cup) - Finland’s national knockout cup competition organised by the Football Association of Finland. Regulations: the tournament is played in a single-elimination format and is open to teams participating in the association’s men’s competitions, with clubs from different levels potentially entering at different stages as defined by the season regulations. Matches are 90 minutes played as two 45-minute halves, and up to a defined stage the lower-division team is typically given home advantage, after which the home team is determined by the draw. If level after 90 minutes, the early rounds are decided by a penalty shoot-out without extra time, while from the semi-finals onward extra time of two 15-minute periods is played and, if still level, the winner is decided by a penalty shoot-out. The winner earns Finland’s cup-winner berth in UEFA club competition, typically entry to UEFA Conference League qualifying subject to club licensing and the UEFA access list for the relevant season.
