

Erovnuli Liga (Georgia) (formerly Umaglesi Liga) - the top professional club football division in Georgia under the Georgian Football Federation. Regulations: 10 clubs take part, the season is played as a quadruple round-robin with each team meeting every opponent twice at home and twice away, for 36 matches. Three points are awarded for a win, one for a draw and none for a defeat, the table is ordered by points, then by head-to-head criteria, including head-to-head points, head-to-head goal difference and head-to-head goals scored, and then by overall goal difference and goals scored. The bottom club is relegated to Erovnuli Liga 2, while the 9th-placed club plays a promotion and relegation play-off against a representative of Erovnuli Liga 2. European places are allocated by the final standings subject to UEFA club licensing: the champions enter UEFA Champions League qualifying, and the remaining berths are split between the best league finishers and the Georgian Cup winner in UEFA Conference League qualifying, if the cup winner has already qualified via the league then the berth passes to the next club in the table.
