

Erovnuli Liga 2 (Georgia) - the second-tier professional club league in the Georgian football pyramid, organized by the Georgian Football Federation under UEFA affiliation. Regulations: the competition is played as a league, the current structure features 10 clubs, teams play each opponent four times (two home and two away), three points are awarded for a win, one for a draw and none for a loss; if teams are level on points, ranking is determined in the federation’s sequence of tie-breakers - head-to-head points, head-to-head goal difference, head-to-head goals scored, head-to-head away goals scored (only when two teams are tied), then overall goal difference and overall goals scored. The champion is typically promoted to Erovnuli Liga, additional promotion places may be decided via promotion and relegation play-offs against lower-placed Erovnuli Liga teams, and eligibility rules such as restrictions on reserve sides can apply under season regulations; at the bottom, relegation can be direct and or via play-offs with Liga 3 depending on the season’s quotas. There is no direct UEFA club competition qualification from Erovnuli Liga 2, access becomes possible only after promotion to the top division and meeting licensing requirements.
