Oberliga - Bavaria North (Bayernliga Nord) - a fifth-tier league in the German football pyramid and one of the two Bayernliga divisions organised by the Bavarian Football Association. Regulations: it is played as a double round-robin league with home and away matches, a win is worth 3 points, a draw 1 and a loss 0, and positions are decided by points, with BFV tie-breakers starting with a disadvantage for a team that forfeited a match with a 0-2 sports-court ruling, then the head-to-head record over the two matches, followed by overall goal difference, goals scored, number of wins and away goals, with a draw of lots if still level, while ties of three or more teams are resolved via a mini-table of their head-to-head matches before reverting to overall criteria. The champion is normally promoted to the Regionalliga Bayern subject to meeting admission requirements, the runner-up typically enters promotion play-offs, and relegation plus relegation play-offs with the Landesligen are set each year in the official promotion and relegation scheme, with two-leg play-offs decided by extra time in the second leg and penalties if still level.
