

Bundesliga U19 (Germany) (U 19 DFB-Nachwuchsliga) - Germany’s top national U19 club competition organised under the German Football Association and reformed from 2024/25 to replace the former three-division A-Junioren Bundesliga structure. Regulations: the season has two league phases and a championship knockout, in phase one teams are drawn into regional groups of up to eight and play a double round-robin, typically 14 matchdays, with points awarded 3 for a win, 1 for a draw and 0 for a loss, 24 teams qualify for phase-two League A, normally the top two in each group plus the best third-placed teams ranked by points-per-game, then goal difference, goals scored and finally lots, the remaining teams move to League B, which may also be supplemented by up to 11 top teams from the level below, so the total number of participants is not capped and can vary by season, if teams are level on points placings are decided by goal difference, then goals scored, then the overall head-to-head record, and if still required by lots, in phase two League A is split into four groups of six, 10 matchdays, the top four in each group advance to the round of 16 of the German U19 championship, from there each tie is a single match, with extra time, two 15-minute periods, and then penalties if needed, clubs without a licensed performance centre retain their place for the next season if they reach League A or finish in the top four of their League B group, and the champion typically qualifies for the UEFA Youth League via the domestic champions path subject to the access list.
