Ghana Premier League (Ghana Premier League) - Ghana’s top-tier men’s club league organised under the Ghana Football Association. Regulations: the league is open to a maximum of 18 clubs and is played as two rounds home and away, with 3 points for a win, 1 for a draw and 0 for a loss. If teams finish level on points, ranking is decided under the head-to-head sequence set by the regulations: points in matches between the tied clubs, goal difference in those matches, goals scored in those matches, away goals scored in those matches, then further regulatory criteria and, if required, a play-off at a neutral venue. At season end, the bottom three clubs are relegated to the Ghana Division One League and the champions of the Division One League’s three zones are promoted. CAF qualification is linked to league placing and domestic competitions, with the league champion typically entering the CAF Champions League and a CAF Confederation Cup berth commonly awarded via Ghana’s FA Cup.
