Rock Cup (Gibraltar) (GFA Rock Cup) - Gibraltar’s primary domestic knockout cup organised by the Gibraltar Football Association. Regulations: the competition is open to clubs competing in the Gibraltar Football League, and teams outside the league may be admitted by application subject to the association’s conditions, with each round drawn in pairs. All rounds are played as single matches of 90 minutes, except for the semi-finals and the final. In all matches other than the semi-finals and the final, if the score is level after 90 minutes the winner is decided by a penalty shootout, while in the semi-finals and the final a draw after 90 minutes is followed by two 15-minute extra-time periods and then penalties. In extra time in the semi-finals and the final, an additional substitute and an additional substitution opportunity are available under the competition regulations. The winner earns Gibraltar’s cup-based UEFA place in line with the association’s UEFA access list, typically a UEFA Conference League qualifying berth.
