Super League 2 (Greece) (Super League 2) - Greece’s second-tier professional club division, staged by the Super League 2 league body within the Hellenic Football Federation competition framework. Regulations: the competition format is approved each season, in the current model it is run in two geographical groups with a double round-robin regular phase using 3 points for a win, 1 for a draw and 0 for a loss, followed by a second phase split into promotion play-offs and relegation play-outs, with regular-season points carried over under a half-points rule with rounding as defined by the season regulations. Promotion is generally awarded to the play-off winners of each group who move up to Super League Greece, while relegation is decided through the play-outs and leads to the Gamma Ethniki, with the number of relegated clubs and the target league size set in the season regulations. Tie-breakers follow HFF Competition Regulations (Article 20): head-to-head points where home-and-away fixtures exist, head-to-head goal difference, overall goal difference, goals scored, wins, away goals scored and away wins. If teams remain level in positions requiring final ordering under Article 20, a neutral-venue classification match or matches are used, for a two-team tie extra time and penalties apply after a draw, and if equality still persists a public draw of lots may be used. Reserve teams from top-flight clubs are governed by separate participation and promotion-eligibility rules, and under the current model they are relegated on sporting merit without an automatic replacement mechanism.
