National Championship I (Hungary) (Nemzeti Bajnokság I, NB I) - the top professional club football division in Hungary under the Hungarian Football Federation. Regulations: 12 clubs take part, teams play each other three times, so each club plays 33 matches, with 3 points for a win, 1 for a draw and 0 for a loss. Teams are ranked by points, then matches won, goal difference, goals scored, head-to-head points, head-to-head goal difference, fair play ranking and then drawing of lots. The bottom two clubs are relegated to the second tier (Nemzeti Bajnokság II) and replaced by the top two teams from that division. UEFA qualification is determined by the final league table and the domestic cup winner (Magyar Kupa): the champion enters UEFA Champions League qualifying, the cup winner enters UEFA Europa League qualifying, the next highest league finishers enter UEFA Conference League qualifying, and if the cup winner has already qualified for Europe via the league table the relevant place is passed down to the next team in the standings.
