League Cup (Iceland): matches and statistics

League Cup (Iceland) (Deildarbikar karla, Lengjubikarinn) - Iceland’s pre-season club competition organised by KSÍ and played across several strength-based divisions. Regulations: the competition consists of a group stage followed by knockout play, in the A and B divisions 24 teams are split into four groups of six, teams play a round-robin within their group, a win gives 3 points, a draw 1, a loss 0, and the group winners advance to the knockout stage, in the A division the four group winners play semi-finals and a final. If teams are level on points in a group, positions are decided by goal difference, goals scored, points in head-to-head matches, head-to-head goal difference, head-to-head goals scored, away goals in head-to-head matches, and if still required deciding match matches are scheduled. In knockout matches, if level after 90 minutes the winner is decided by a penalty shoot-out.
