Reykjavik Cup (Reykjavíkurmótið) - a traditional pre-season club tournament held in Reykjavik and listed in the Icelandic FA competition calendar. Regulations: it is typically played with a group stage followed by knockout rounds, teams play round-robin within groups, a win gives 3 points, a draw 1, a loss 0, group rankings are decided by points, then goal difference, goals scored, then head-to-head criteria in order of head-to-head points, head-to-head goal difference and head-to-head goals scored, with away goals scored in head-to-head matches used if needed, and if a definitive order is still required a deciding match may be scheduled. In knockout matches, level scores after regular time lead to extra time and, if still level, penalties, and in two-legged ties the aggregate score decides, with extra time and penalties in the second leg if the aggregate score is level.
