Liga 2 (Indonesia) (Pegadaian Championship) - Indonesia’s second-tier professional league under the PSSI, with competition operations handled by the league operator I.League. Regulations: the current rules set 20 clubs split into 2 groups, with a preliminary phase played as a triple round robin within each group, using the standard 3-1-0 points system. If teams are level on points, standings are decided first by head-to-head results among the tied teams in the order points, goal difference, goals scored, and if still level then by overall goal difference, overall goals scored, fair play, and finally a drawing of lots. Group winners advance to a single-match final and both are promoted to the top tier (BRI Super League), while the two group runners-up play a single-match promotion play-off and the winner is also promoted. The 9th-placed teams in each group play a single-match relegation play-off, the winner stays in the division and the loser is relegated to Liga Nusantara, with hosting for play-offs and the final determined by seeding from the preliminary standings.
