Serie C - Group B (Italy) (Serie C, Girone B) - one of the three parallel groups of Italy’s third-tier professional league organised by Lega Pro under FIGC. Regulations: the group is normally played as a double round-robin league with a fixed number of clubs, with 3 points for a win, 1 for a draw and 0 for a loss; level teams are separated via head-to-head ranking criteria (points first, then head-to-head goal difference), followed by overall goal difference and goals scored, with lots as a last resort, and federation rules allow a play-off match for specific decisive sporting titles where applicable. The group winner is promoted directly to Serie B, and an additional promotion place is decided via the Serie C play-offs involving the top finishers behind the leader plus the Coppa Italia Serie C winner: the early group phase is single-leg knockout where a draw sends through the higher-placed team, the national phase is two-legged where ties are decided first on aggregate goal difference and then by seeding status, and the Final Four is played over two-legged semi-finals and a two-legged final, with extra time and penalties if still level. Relegation is to Serie D: typically the bottom team is relegated directly and further relegations are decided via two-legged play-outs among teams in the lower table positions, with play-outs cancelled when the points gap exceeds the set threshold and the lower-ranked team relegated directly; in seasons where Group B has a reduced number of clubs, specific derogations may adjust play-out pairings and the way Group B teams are compared for national play-off seeding, including coefficient-based normalisation.
