

Super Cup (Japan) (Fujifilm Super Cup, formerly Fuji Xerox Super Cup) - Japan’s domestic super cup match organised under the Japan Football Association (JFA) and the professional league (J.League). Regulations: it is contested by the top-division league champions and the Emperor’s Cup winners, and if the same club wins both competitions, the league runners-up take the remaining place. The Super Cup is decided by a single match of two 45-minute halves with no points system, and if the score is level after 90 minutes, the winner is decided by a penalty shoot-out with no extra time.
