Cup (Kazakhstan) (Kazakhstan Cup, held since 1992) - the national knockout cup competition for clubs in Kazakhstan under the Kazakhstan Football Federation. Regulations: eligible participants are clubs admitted by the national federation and meeting the applicable regulatory requirements, with mandatory participation typically including top-division clubs and clubs from the First and Second Leagues, while reserve or youth sides of top-division clubs are excluded, and only one first team per club is permitted, with multiple teams from the same club or clubs under common control barred from entering simultaneously. The competition is played as a single-elimination tournament with a preliminary stage for lower-league clubs to determine the line-up for the main stage, while top-division clubs generally enter from the round of 16, and pairings are decided by a draw. The round of 16, quarter-finals and the final are played as single matches, the semi-finals are two-legged home and away ties, and if a winner is not determined after 90 minutes in a single match or after the two legs on aggregate, extra time is played and, if still level, the winner is decided by a penalty shoot-out. The cup winner earns Kazakhstan’s place in UEFA Europa Conference League qualifying, subject to UEFA club licensing requirements and national admission.
