FKF Premier League (Kenya) (FKF Premier League) - the top tier of the Kenyan club league system run under the Football Kenya Federation. Regulations: it is played as a national league, typically with 18 clubs, in a double round-robin format where teams face each other home and away, with 3 points for a win, 1 for a draw and 0 for a loss. If teams finish level on points, places are commonly decided by overall goal difference, then goals scored, then head-to-head records, and if equality still remains and it affects the title, relegation or continental qualification, an additional play-off match at a neutral venue is used to determine the final ranking. Promotion and relegation are confirmed in the season regulations, and under the current structure relegation is direct to the National Super League and promotion is direct from the National Super League with no play-offs. The league champions represent Kenya in the CAF Champions League, while the FKF Cup winners qualify for the CAF Confederation Cup, with participation reallocated if required under eligibility and licensing rules.
