Division 1 (Kuwait)

Kuwait Division One (Arabic: دوري الدرجة الأولى الكويتي) - Kuwait’s second-tier professional club league competition organized under the Kuwait Football Association. Regulations: the competition is played as a league, with the number of clubs and the match schedule approved for each season, teams earn 3 points for a win, 1 for a draw and 0 for a loss. If clubs finish level on points, ranking is decided by the federation’s tie-break sequence, starting with head-to-head points, then head-to-head goal difference, then overall goal difference, goals scored, number of wins and disciplinary criteria, and if equality still remains an additional play-off match or another organizer-approved decider may be used. At season end, the top-placed clubs earn promotion to the Kuwait Premier League, with the number of promotion places and any relegation rules set by the season regulations.
