Lao League 1 (Laos)

Lao League 1 (Pepsi Lao League 1) - the top-tier club league in Laos organised under the Lao Football Federation as the country’s primary national championship. Regulations: the competition is played in a league format, the participant list is confirmed by the federation and in the current model consists of 10 clubs playing a round-robin schedule, teams receive 3 points for a win, 1 for a draw and 0 for a loss, the final standings are based on total points, and if points are level the first tie-breaker is goal difference, with further criteria applied as defined in the competition regulations. Promotion and relegation operate with Lao League 2 depending on the season rules. The champion earns the right to represent Laos in Asian club competitions, including the AFC Challenge League, subject to national quota and club licensing requirements.
