

LFA First Division (Liberia) (LFA Orange First Division) - the top tier of club football in Liberia run by the Liberia Football Association. Regulations: the competition is played as a league and typically features 14 clubs, teams play each opponent twice home and away, the standard points system applies with 3 points for a win, 1 for a draw and 0 for a loss. If teams are level on points, goal difference is used as a primary tie-breaker, with further criteria applied according to the league regulations. At the end of the season, the lowest-placed teams are relegated to the LFA Second Division. The league champion qualifies to represent Liberia in the CAF Champions League, while the winner of the LFA Cup (PetroTrade Cup) qualifies for the CAF Confederation Cup, if the cup winner also qualifies for the Champions League then the losing cup finalist takes the Confederation Cup place, and the cup winner also qualifies for the single-match LFA Super Cup against the league champions.
