Liechtenstein Cup (Liechtensteiner Cup) - the national knockout cup competition of Liechtenstein organised annually by the Liechtenstein Football Association (LFV). Regulations: the tournament is played in a straight knockout format, with LFV member clubs eligible to enter all registered senior teams and each club’s first team required to participate, while the exact round structure depends on the number of entrants and is set out in LFV implementing provisions, including possible pre-qualification, byes and seeding. Pairings are generally decided by a draw with rules to manage potential same-club matchups, and the lower-division team has home advantage in all rounds up to and including the semi-finals, while ties between teams from the same league level follow the draw order for home rights, with additional provisions to avoid two teams from the same club reaching the final against each other. Matches are 90 minutes and, if level, go to extra time of 2 x 15 minutes and then a penalty shoot-out if still level. The winner earns Liechtenstein’s place in UEFA Conference League qualifying, with the entry round defined by UEFA’s access list and currently set at the second qualifying round.
