

National Division (Luxembourg) (BGL Ligue) - the top tier of club football in Luxembourg organised under the Luxembourg Football Federation. Regulations: 16 clubs play a double round-robin league, home and away against each opponent, for 30 matches per team, with points awarded 3 for a win, 1 for a draw and 0 for a loss; teams level on points are ranked by overall goal difference, then overall goals scored, then head-to-head results, and if the tie still stands and European qualification or relegation is at stake, a play-off match is played on neutral ground; the bottom two clubs are relegated to the second tier, while 13th and 14th place enter relegation play-offs against the teams finishing 3rd and 4th in the second tier; the champion enters UEFA Champions League qualifying, and the domestic cup winner plus the next best league finishers within the national quota enter UEFA Conference League qualifying.
