Macedonian Second Football League (2. MFL) - the second tier of the North Macedonian professional club league system under the national federation. Regulations: it is run as a league, typically with a fixed number of clubs playing a double round-robin schedule, awarding 3 points for a win, 1 for a draw and 0 for a loss. If teams finish level on points, the standings are decided by the season’s classification sequence, with head-to-head criteria applied first, followed by head-to-head goal difference and additional indicators, including head-to-head away goals where the season rules provide for it. At the end of the season, the top teams are promoted to the Macedonian First League (1. MFL), and an additional promotion place may be decided through a play-off as defined for that edition. Teams near the bottom are relegated to the Macedonian Third League (3. MFL), and the exact relegation quota and any play-offs used to complete the league lineup are set by the federation for the given season.
