Super League (Malawi) (TNM Super League) - the top club division in Malawi’s league system, organised under the Football Association of Malawi and administered by the Super League of Malawi. Regulations: the competition is a league with a fixed 16-team lineup where each club plays every other club twice home and away, with 3 points for a win, 1 for a draw and 0 for a loss, and teams level on points separated by the organiser’s tie-breakers, primarily goal difference and then goals scored. Promotion and relegation are defined by the current regulations, typically three clubs are relegated to the next level and three are promoted, with the exact pathway operating via the national second tier or another federation-approved structure. Continental qualification is granted through Malawi’s CAF allocation, the league champion enters the CAF Champions League, and an additional slot where available is awarded by the federation, most commonly to the domestic cup holder or the league runner-up.
