

Super Cup (Malta) (Super Cup Competition) - Malta’s domestic super cup match organised by the Malta Football Association. Regulations: the competition is held annually and consists of a single match, played as soon as possible after the end of the top-division league championship and the FA Trophy, or during the following football season. The participants are the top-division league champions and the FA Trophy winners, and if the same club wins both titles, the league runners-up become the other participants, and if the runners-up place is shared by more than one club, the participating club is determined under Article 35(IV) of the Competition Rules with no deciding matches, applying in order head-to-head points, head-to-head goal difference, head-to-head goals scored, overall goal difference, overall goals scored, and then drawing of lots. The match is 90 minutes, if level after normal time extra time is played, and if still level after extra time the winner is decided by kicks from the penalty mark in accordance with the Laws of the Game.
