Moldova Cup (Cupa Republicii Moldova) - the national knockout cup competition in Moldova organised by the Moldovan Football Federation. Regulations: the tournament is played as a single-elimination competition with a preliminary phase and a final phase, the preliminary phase involves clubs from the second and third tiers and the final phase begins at the round of 16 with top-tier clubs entering, the preliminary rounds, round of 32, round of 16 and round of 16 onwards to the round of 16 stage are played as single matches with extra time of two 15-minute periods and then a penalty shoot-out if still level, the quarter-finals and semi-finals are played over two legs home and away and if the aggregate score is level extra time is played followed by a penalty shoot-out if required, the final is a single match with extra time and penalties if needed, and the winner takes the association’s place in the UEFA Europa League qualifying phase.
