Super Liga (Moldova) (Liga 7777.md) - the top professional club division in Moldova under the Moldovan Football Federation. Regulations: 8 clubs take part, points are awarded as 3 for a win, 1 for a draw and 0 for a loss, the season is played in two phases - in Phase I teams play each other three times for 21 matches per club, the top six after Phase I qualify for Phase II to compete for the title, the points earned in Phase I in matches between the clubs that qualify for Phase II are halved and, if the number of points is odd, the result is rounded down by 0.5, if clubs are level after rounding the higher position goes to the club with more points before rounding, in Phase II the qualified clubs play each other home and away for 10 matches per club, while the clubs finishing 7th and 8th in Phase I move into Liga 1 Phase II Group 1 together with four Liga 1 teams to contest places in the next edition of the top division. If clubs are level on points in the standings, the tie-breakers are applied in order as head-to-head points, head-to-head goal difference, head-to-head goals scored, then number of wins, overall goal difference, overall goals scored, fewer red cards and fewer yellow cards, but these criteria are not used to decide the championship - if the top two finish level on points at the end of Liga 7777.md, an additional match is played and, if level after 90 minutes, extra time and then a penalty shoot-out are used if required. UEFA qualification is determined by the final top-division table and the Moldovan Cup outcome subject to club licensing, typically the champion enters the UEFA Champions League qualifying phase and the cup winner and the next highest league finishers enter the UEFA Conference League qualifying phase, with the exact entry rounds confirmed each season in the UEFA access list.
